Are you ready to take your next step in the diving world? Advance your nitrox diving knowledge and skills with the SSI Extended Range Nitrox program. The SSI Extended Range Nitrox program provides a thorough introduction to the concepts, techniques, and procedures required when planning decompression diving with nitrox.

Either participate in the program with an XR Sidemount or Twinset Total Diving System, this program prepares divers to plan and conduct limited decompression dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters / 130 feet. In addition, this advanced nitrox diving course will teach you the techniques and procedures for using breathing gases up to 50% oxygen for decompression.

The course is designed as either a stand-alone program or stepping-stone to become an SSI Extended Range diver, look at our XR pathway poster for more information.

Day One

Beginning with a classroom session, we will work through a thorough introduction to the concepts, techniques, and procedures required when planning decompression diving with nitrox. We will also cover specific skills based on your selected diving system before going to the pool in the afternoon for practical development.

Days Two & Three

Day two and three are run off our purpose built dive site at 1-2 of our most popular dive locations; dives one and two will develop your skills in an open water environment, applying techniques from your pool and theory sessions.
